Elizabeth Watson is a certified nurse practitioner and the director of clinical affairs and Mohs surgery at Waccamaw Dermatology. Mohs micrographic surgery is the gold-standard surgical procedure for treating skin cancer. Watson has performed more than 8,000 Mohs surgical closures in the last six years and has more than 15 years of experience in the medical field. Her career started at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, where she worked as a surgical nurse. She worked as a nurse practitioner in urology and mental health before finding her passion in surgical dermatology. Watson loves how Mohs reconstructive surgery perfectly combines art and science. She aims to provide her patients with compassionate, patient-centered, high-quality care.
Watson joined Waccamaw Dermatology in 2019. She studied at the University of North Carolina in Asheville and ultimately earned a master’s degree in 2013 at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte. She enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family.
