Daniel J. Teague, M.D. attended medical school at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine followed by an intern year and residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. Following residency training, he completed a fellowship in Surgical and Oncological Pathology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. Then he completed a Dermatopathology fellowship at Wake Forest Medical in Winston Salem, NC. For over a decade following training, Dr. Teague has practiced dermatopathology in both private and corporate-owned laboratories with extensive experience in a high-volume laboratory.
Throughout his medical training and dermatopathology work, Dr. Teague has authored and co-authored multiple articles in multiple medical journals. He is a member of many medical societies and holds medical licensure in multiple states in the Southeast and Midwest. Dr. Teague has also given talks at state and national level meetings. He has also engaged in instructing medical students, interns, and dermatology and pathology residents in the field of dermatopathology in several states. For several years, Dr. Teague has also served on the editorial staff of a dermatopathology journal. This instruction includes weekly “unknown” sessions, interesting case discussions, and didactic lectures. As a former full-time high school biology and mathematics educator, Dr. Teague also enjoys giving occasional talks to elementary, middle school, and high school classes, covering basic biology, genetics, and medical topics.
In his free time, Dr. Teague enjoys reading, fishing, running, exercising, and spending time with his wife and seven children.
