Robert D. Bibb, M.E., M.D. has done undergraduate and graduate work in engineering. Bibb received his M.D. degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He served in the U.S. Public Health Service for two years. During this time, he was voted as Outstanding Intern of the Year. He later served in the McClellanville Community of South Carolina, where he received a Public Health Service citation as senior assistant surgeon for outstanding service to the community. He later trained in a dermatology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina under the direction of the distinguished dermatologist Dr. Richard Dobson. His most recent accomplishments include published works in cancer prevention and the development of a new technology that has application in sunscreen use. He is the founder of Waccamaw Dermatology and has been in the private practice of dermatology for over thirty years.

Dr. Coakley and staff are by far the best professional, personable and efficient folks I have ever dealt with. I have had well over nine different surgeries over the years at four other dermatologists offices. I would highly recommend Waccamaw Dermatology and especially Dr. Coakley. A special shout out to Holly who is so good at what she does.
